Today marks the halfway point of the 6-week Soul Restoration class I'm taking. It's been pretty awesome so far. I don't want to share too much detail, first because it's quite personal, but also I don't want to spoil the fun for anyone who wants to take this class. I thought I'd blog a bit about the class and my thoughts about it.
I totally love the process that Melody has put together for the class. So far things have seemed to right in the order they're supposed to go in. It's much like major housecleaning, except for the soul. The "therapy" includes a lot of mixed media art, but don't be afraid if you're not an artist. Collage work is naturally imperfect, and it can be as simple or as complex as you want.
I've uncovered some great things about myself so far, particularly during Week 3, and the class has helped me to remember a lot of the good things in my life that I had forgotten about. The journaling prompts have been fabulous, and I've been having a ton of fun just writing.
They will be having another session of Soul Restoration starting in April and a follow-on course for graduates in June. For more information on these classes, check out the Brave Girls website.
